Meet Madeline Rivers: A Passionate Home Cook

Hi, I’m Madeline Rivers—and welcome to my kitchen, where the scent of cinnamon rolls mingles with the giggles of my kids, and dinner often comes with a side of flour on someone’s nose.

I’m a 36-year-old home cook and food blogger based in sunny Charlotte, North Carolina, where I live with my wonderfully patient husband Jake, our two amazing kids, Ella and Benji, and our golden retriever, Muffin, who has a sixth sense for fallen snacks.

I wasn’t always in the kitchen full-time. For years, I worked in corporate marketing, writing copy for someone else’s brand while dreaming about recipes scribbled on napkins and casseroles I couldn’t wait to test on weekends. Somewhere between preschool drop-offs, late-night meal preps, and birthday cupcakes that barely made it out of the pan, I realized my heart belonged right here—with the smells, the sizzles, and the stories that start at the dinner table.

So, I took the leap. I traded deadlines for dough, boardrooms for baking sheets, and turned our family kitchen into the heart of Yummy Forks—an online home where I share family-centered recipes that are simple, comforting, and made for real life.

My recipes are made with love and often inspired by the tiny hands that help me mix, taste, and decorate. Ella’s favorite job? Sprinkling powdered sugar and declaring herself “cupcake queen.” Benji? He’s the official doughball thief. Jake grills like a champ on weekends and keeps us stocked with fresh herbs from his little backyard garden. And Muffin? She just waits under the high chair with hopeful eyes.

I believe good food doesn’t need to be fancy—it just needs to be shared. From creamy casseroles and skillet dinners to seasonal pies and quick toddler snacks, every dish I post is meant to feel like home.

I’m so happy you’re here. Whether you’re a busy parent, a weekend baker, or just looking for something comforting to cook tonight, I hope my kitchen feels a little like yours.
